Preparing Your Data

Training the Machine Learning Model
Next, we will train the machine learning model to effectively segment neurons based on the data provided. In total, we prepare approximately 1800 neuron masks to ensure the model has sufficient training data. When everything is set, simply click the Train button. While this training process takes some time, we will skip ahead to where the model is fully trained to showcase the magic that follows.
Making Predictions
Once the model is trained, it’s time for the real excitement to begin. You can upload new microscope images and eagerly click the PREDICT button, initiating the inference process. While the predictions take time, the results are astonishing. With each passing second, neurons slowly emerge from the fluorescence microscopy images, revealing their complex structures.
